Several years ago, I felt a deep pull to write Patchwork of Grace, a book celebrating my extraordinary mom and our family’s story. I began by outlining the chapters, mapping out the moments and memories I wanted to share. Over time, I’d sit down to draft a chapter, pouring my heart into the words. After years of writing, revising, and refining, Patchwork of Grace is finally published, a tribute to the love and resilience that defined our family.

The title Patchwork of Grace was inspired by a vivid memory of Mom quilting in our home on Talley Street in Savannah, Tennessee. She had a massive quilting rack suspended from the living room ceiling, lowered by a pulley system whenever she worked her magic with needle and thread. While we did homework, played games, or watched TV, Mom would sew, her hands creating beauty stitch by stitch.

Those moments wove us together as a family, just as her quilts adorned our home.

Mom’s quilts were more than fabric—they were works of art, each one bringing comfort and beauty to our lives. In the same way, I saw a thread of grace running through her life and ours, binding us through joys and challenges. Patchwork of Grace captures that story, and I hope it resonates as you read it.
